Gold plated stainless steel

The gold in the photo is real. It is created by Physical Vapour Deposition (PVD), a coating technique which works by evaporating a metal such as gold or copper onto stainless steel. As the layer of evaporated metal is only a few molecules thick the process adds only a small cost to the basic stainless steel product, and because the layer is bonded at the molecular level it cannot flake off.

Although our catalogue only lists a selected number of products, we are informed by the manufacturer that virtually any stainless steel item can be plated using this technique. If you require specific items we can enquire on your behalf. A related service is that of adding logos to products; again this service is available only by special request.
